Dance is one of the most dynamic forms of art there is; From the music driving the dance to the costumes, the styling, lighting and performance, facial expression, and the movement itself. And yet another layer of art is added when dance is photographed. You've put in the work, the sweat, the tears, the hours of practice. You have the costumes, the gear, the music-You're ready to shine! Let's capture all of that in beautiful, timeless fine art images.

THE "TULSA MOVES" PROJECT IS LIVE AND WE ARE NOW BOOKING!
This is your moment. I'm featuring just forty local dancers between the ages of four and one hundred to be featured in a beautiful photo anthology book. I want to capture the beauty and the energy of dancers like you. These are images worthy of Vogue magazine-worthy of YOU and all of the hard work and time you've invested. This is an opportunity to see yourself through my lens, a true expression of how amazing and beautiful you are in your craft, and I cannot wait to photograph you in this way.
WHAT DOES THE "TULSA MOVES" EXPERIENCE INCLUDE?

DESIGN CONSULTATION: Let's talk about your genre of dance. Are we emulating a music video, recreating an album cover, composing a classical ballet portrait? We will plan out wardrobe, hair, makeup, and location.

PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP: Professional hair and makeup will be provided at your shoot to ensure that you look flawless and feel confident.

LUXURY PHOTO SHOOT with international award-winning photographer Nicole Barton on-location or in her Tulsa studio.

YOUR ARTWORK: One digital file and 8x10 matted print ready to frame and a copy of the "She Is Tulsa" fine12x12 photo anthology book.

BOOK RELEASE PARTY: You'll receive two tickets to this exclusive event where your favorite image will be proudly displayed and books will be distributed.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Everything included above is valued at over $1500, but the cost of the "Tulsa Moves" promotional package is just $800, and financing is available.
Two weeks after your photo session, you'll get to review your images and select your very favorite image to own as a matted print. This image will also be featured in the book, and you'll get a digital version for social sharing.
Should you decide that you'd like to order additional images, $300 from your session fee will be applied to a collection of your choice!
A variety of packages are available, and they include things like digital galleries, luxury photo albums, fine wall art, and more, and they are all eligible for financing options.
MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Nicole Barton has been shooting professionally for thirteen years. Over the course of her career, she's earned Bronze and Silver in the Portrait Masters Competition and placed in international competitions. She is the creator of Crowned In Silver Magazine and the "She Is Tulsa" photo anthology exhibit and short film hosted by the Circle Cinema. She currently has three fine art pieces showing in the "She Makes Art" exhibit at Legett Studios. Her work has been published in Forbes, and Ebony Magazine, amongst others. Empowering people of all sizes, shapes, shades, and ages through representation in gorgeous images has been her mission for over a decade. It is the bond she builds with the people she meets that drives her passion, as well as watching them transform through the experience of seeing themselves in a new way.
WHY TULSA? WHY THIS? WHY NOW?
"Last year I relocated to Tulsa from Los Angeles! Six months pregnant with my third daughter, our family moved halfway across the country for something new. I'm a woman who loves to be out in the community, to check out all the places, see all the things, and meet all the people. Back home, I was the exclusive photographer for several dance companies, and I've been shooting dance performances and dance portraits for years. My work in dance has won awards but, it's also truly one of my favorite things to photograph. (I myself am no great dancer! LOL. But I get to live vicariously through those who do it well!) Now that I have settled into my new home, I'd love to get back to shooting dance again, and honestly, Tulsa is a great place to do it! There's such a wide variety of cultures here and this city is truly a budding arts destination. I thought, 'What better way to document all that than in a gorgeous photography book showcasing all these incredible images.' It's also a great way for me to meet new people, and see all your moves Tulsa!"
