This exhibition marks the culmination of our journey. It is a showcase of our individual evolution and our collective magic. From the beaded masks that feel "otherworldly and powerful" to beaded shawls and collars, and ancient-Egyptian-reimagined collection, Behind The Veil invites you to experience the textures, the weight, and the soul of our work in an intimate, immersive gallery setting.

BEHIND THE VEIL
Meet the artists, touch the textures, and explore the full capsule collection. Behind The Veil is a private, invitation-only gallery showing of heirloom, fine art beadwork by artist Mika Chante, as well as printed fine art images co-created with Nicole Barton Photography. Masks, capes, rings, and earcuffs will be on display, including pieces exclusive to this event. All items will be available for purchase.

TA MUE BEM
"Ta Meu Bem is more than jewelry. It is a dialogue with history. Born from a profound respect for indigenous craft and global traditions, Mika’s work pairs fine glass beads with rare vintage stones, hand-worked metals, and crystals."
"The jewelry becomes a prescription for what ails me, a declaration of strength, and it makes me feel powerful when I wear it."
These pieces are designed to be worn like sensory blankets or pieces of royal armor. They represent "ancient roots energy, divine interpretation, and devotion to Mother Nature."
ABOUT
YOUR
ARTISTS
Two Artists.
5,000 Miles.
One Unifying Vision.
Eight years ago, in the creative heart of Los Angeles, two mothers and artists Mika Chante of Ta Meu Bem and Nicole Barton found a creative mirror in one another. We were both navigating the pivotal growth phases of our businesses, balancing the demands of motherhood, and searching for a visual language that could capture the depth of our work.
What began as a professional collaboration to shoot commercial images evolved into a profound artistic friendship. Over the last six years, our lives have taken us through cross-country moves, career shifts, and thousands of miles of separation. Yet, through it all, we continued to build, bounce ideas off one another, and dream of the next campaign.
"Balance is key in a great collaboration, and this is why we are able to create work together that we never could without each other. The final campaigns are a unique amalgamation of two very different artists.
